Just discovered your blog tonight, and all I have to say is... wow! Thank you for sharing these incredible artifacts. I used to have a few of these shows, but lost my entire collection a few years back, so it is great to be able to hear those ones again. Really looking forward to listening to MDC @ the Royal Albert Arms again (when I got the tape in a trade circa 2005, it was labeled "Royal Albert Hall" too, but the Arms is the correct name). Same with CH3 on KPFK. Many of these are new to me, which is even more exciting.
ReplyDeleteIf you happen to have any Middle Class recordings you could upload, I would be eternally grateful - they are one of my favorite bands, but for a group that gigged fairly prolifically from 1978 to 82, there seem to be hardly any live recordings floating around. I know that complete copies of the Hong Kong Café, Whisky and Nest sets that were excerpted on the Blueprint For Joy compilation existed at one point, but I've never been able to find copies. The only sets I had at one point were low-fidelity audience tapes from the Fleetwood in 1980 and the Valley West (in Tarzana) in 1981, as well as their appearance on 12 o'Clock Rock / Live From Studio Zzzz, all of which were lost along with everything else, sadly.
