ISOCRACY - June 14th, 1987 @ 924 Gilman St, Berkeley, CA [SOUNDBOARD]

Hell yeah, here's ISOCRACY from the 924 Gilman St "Battle Of The Bands" in June of 1987.  It's a possible master tape recorded from the soundboard.  This was pretty much the foundation of Lookout records in a way, or at least a very important show in the story of the label.  These were all Gilman house bands pretty much and I think all or most were released on the Turn It Around compilation, another important landmark in the tale of East Bay punk and hardcore.  This is Isocracy, so of course it's gonna be sloppy and sound terrible and yet also seem absolutely fun as hell to witness.  It might seem an odd listen on tape or these digitized files, unless you have the caveat in mind that their focus was a way more loose and wild live show for the people watching them.  The mix is kinda all over the plkace too, as is often the case in 1987 Gilman soundboards.  Still, I think it's cool to hear it, hopefully others think so as well.    - DH
