 Got a short one for you folks payin' attention to my posts.  This is a short and mostly instrumental rehearsal recording of the mighty STIKKY.  This comes from Chris Dodge's collection of tapes, as a lot of these do, so of course being that he was a member of Stikky he had some rehearsals recorded.  Here's one of them.  I am trying to keep Tuesday posts to a theme, and the theme is rehearsal recordings,  But this is the only one I had prepared and ready to go, but it's a fun one, even without vocals.   - DH

RIPCORD - March 14th, 1987 - Rehearsal

 Rehearsal recordings are badass.  Cheers to all those that have made them or shared them, I like hearing them, and I've made them personally, mainly for my own bands that nobody wants to hear and a couple times for some friends bands.  That was before I started digitizing tapes and realized how many of these sorts of recordings existed, I may have tried to make more of my various friends' bands.  Ah well.  At least there are some quite cool ones out there, such as this tape from a RIPCORD rehearsal from 1987.  Likely recorded on a boombox, it sounds as noisy and raw as the general audience recordings floating around out there.   I don't know anything about the source of the tape, I don't know the setlist, I just know I like playing it from time to time.   - DH

SEDITION - 1991 "Rehearsal Tape" Demo

This is something I'd never even heard of before, SEDITION was apparently the band Jon and Rob were in prior to forming Discordance Axis!  This is a rehearsal demo recorded in 1991.  It's more straighforward grind like the earlier DA material and sounds pretty sick.  If that sounds like something you'd dig, then you are in for a treat here, enjoy! - DH

NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH!  I'm not very familiar with these guys but they were active around the mid to late 80's, I've seen their name on several flyers and there are a handful of shows that were recorded that are now in the collection and will eventually be transferred and uploaded.  So if you are following my posts and are along for the ride, we will all get a bit more familiar with these folks.  So yeah, here's a rehearsal recording of them.  Seems like there's a few false starts to some of the songs so perhaps not the best way to start off but it can only go up from here, right?  Besides, it was next.  Respect the queue.  Anyhoo, check 'em out!  - DH

TRANSGRESSOR - December 11th, 1987 Rehearsal

TRANSGRESSOR!  This band never released any records, but they were still notable for being fronted by a young Steve Von Till, who would wind up joining Neurosis about a year or so after this.  In that time, Transgressor had a lineup change and renamed themselves Peace Test, though they still played these songs.  It's a shame they didn't release any records but then again Steve obviously made the right choice in joining and focusing on Neurosis.  Thankfully we have these rehearsal recordings and their demo to listen to and enjoy!   - DH
